Pakistan is not only a culturally rich land but also a country of immensely talented individuals. Globally recognized Sufi singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Abida Parveen are names that need no introduction. The dynamic singers continue to mesmerize not only Pakistanis but also the international audience and Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s recent post about the two singers is a testimony to that.
In an Instagram post, Jada expressed her fondness for the two Pakistani living legends.
“Abida Parveen and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are two of my favourite vocalist of Sufi music. This song is called Chaap Tilak and you can go on YouTube to check out the lyrics. They are beautiful,” she wrote.

The dynamic duo collaborated for Coke Studio season 7 in 2014 and this Sufi song went on to become one of the biggest hits the program has produced. Earlier this year, Sufi poetess and singer Abida Parveen collaborated with renowned British singer and songwriter Sami Yusuf for a devotional track titled Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum which was a mix of Arabic and Urdu. The song garnered positive feedback.
