The teasers of much anticipated drama serial Ishq e Laa came out on Friday leaving fans gasping for more as they only touched upon the characters and left most of the story to our imagination.
Featuring powerhouse performers like Sajal Aly and Yumna Zaidi, the drama marks musician Azaan Sami Khan’s acting debut, and these are enough reasons for fans to look forward to it. Earlier, Sajal and Yumna, both shared their pictures with Azaan on social media which left us wondering who he is paired with or is it a love triangle?
The first teaser introduces Sajal as Shanaya, a dedicated journalist who is determined and courageous. Despite her demanding profession, she urges her mother (Laila Wasti) to stop being afraid, or else who will dare to raise brave daughters. Though we are not yet sure about Azaan’s character, Azlan, but it is now evident that Azlan and Shanaya like each other.

The second teaser shows Yumna Zaidi’s character, a girl from a poor household, who is grappling with her circumstances. She is fed up of living like a coward. It also gives us a glimpse of Adnan Samad Khan as Abid, who all of us have loved in a humorous character like Gulzar in Ehd-e-Wafa. His distinct physical appearance reminds us of a classic 70s look for men, when moustaches and floral shirts were in style. The look is building excitement to find out more about his role.
Written by Qaisera Hayat, who has previously given us Alif Allah Aur Insaan, and directed by Amin Iqbal, Ishq e Laa also stars Sohail Sameer, Uzma Hassan, Simi Raheal amongst others. It is produced by Momina Duraid and will air on HUM TV soon.
