The wedding season is upon us and Bollywood’s highly anticipated weddings are quickly approaching. Now, ringing in her celebrations, acclaimed Bollywood actor, Priyanka Chopra and popular Hollywood singer, Nick Jonas are getting ready for their nuptials — starting with her bridal shower.
Priyanka enjoyed her pre-wedding escapade at Tiffany & Co. Blue Box Cafe in New York, alongside her girlfriends from Hollywood. She wore a beautiful Marchesa strapless blouse with a textured-feather skirt, accompanied with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin shoes and a sleek diamond necklace. The close affair was attended by her friends and mother, Madhu Chopra and in-laws. Here are some highlights from the highly-talked about event of the week:
Priyanka Chopra posed alongside ‘bride to be’ foil balloonsÂ
Everyone wanted to get a glimpse of what the bridal shower was like ever since the news broke out. Mimi Cutrell, Priyanka’s stylist, shared the only picture on her Instagram and it instantly became viral. Some pictures of The Miss World 2000 winner, while arriving at the venue, also became public. She was seen wearing a cream coloured jacket on top of her dress for the evening. Many tabloids went on to say that her attire looks like a wedding dress.

Looking beautiful as ever, Priyanka danced the night away without a care in the world. The beaming bride-to-be surely appears overjoyed.
Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o was in attendance
The Oscar winner, Lupita Nyong’o also attended the bridal shower. The Black Panther star donned a gorgeous black and gold dress and completed her look with a shimmery coral lip. Priyanka and Lupita know each other from when the stars hosted an event alongside Deborra Lee Furness in New York.

Mother and mother-in-law were part of the celebration
The private party organized by the bride-to-be’s friends was not a quintessential bridal shower. The bride’s mother, Madhu Chopra as well as mother-in-law, Denise Miller-Jonas were part of the celebration and beaming with happiness and excitement.
Priyanka Chopra was seen being her playful self
Posing alongside her massive cake, Priyanka was seen playing around with the cake decor. The actor appears high-spirited which is a testimony that she thoroughly enjoyed herself.
The mother-daughter duo looked blissful
Madhu and Priyanka are all smiles and appear to be in utmost joy in this picture. In a video posted by Priyanka on Instagram, the two are also seen dancing together at the intimate affair.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are all set to tie the knot in December but certain news reports are saying that they may have changed the date to January 2019 so it wouldn’t clash with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding. It has been reported by leading Bollywood tabloids that the nuptials will take place in Jodhpur and the wedding will be a traditional Indian style affair.
