Despite continuous load shedding (thanks to Karachi Electric) and an inadequate infrastructure to cope with the outpour, Karachi has always maintained a love-hate relationship with rains. Heavy rains bring a welcome respite to scorching summer days but this relief does come with a price: the city comes at a standstill with power outages and insane traffic jams.
However, rainfalls always turn the mood pleasant for Karachiites. It reminds us of all the melodious tracks ever made on rain, and so does to celebrities who made sure to make the most of the weather.
