As Ayeza Khan gears up for another one of her serial, Thora Sa Haq, to hit the screen, the actress made an appearance on ARY Digital’s Good Morning Pakistan this morning, where she opened up a bit about why she chose to play the controversial role of Mehwish in Meray Paas Tum Ho.Â
Ayeza has been making quite the headlines for her portrayal of an unfaithful wife in the drama serial that also stars Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui, and while some are singing praises for her acting, some are finding it hard to see Ayeza in such a role.
It is no secret that Ayeza is a supremely talented actress, which is why we aren’t surprised at her ability to pull off this character with such aplomb, however we too have been curious to know why she chose the character.
“I feel, as you experience life, you meet a lot of people around you with varying characteristics. That’s when you think to yourself, there are people like this in the world, and these are the good ones and these are the bad. It’s important to show the bad kind as well so that it scares people and creates awareness, as is the case with the character I’m currently appearing in,” said Ayeza, referring to her character as Mehwish, when asked about the versatility of her recent roles.

Ayeza has been known to deliver hits through out her career and of course that is not just a stroke of luck. Her choice of scripts and innate talent speak for themselves. “I don’t look at whether a drama will be hit or not. I look at the message that my character will be delivering. The girls who watch me, the people who follow me, it’s important for me to know what they’ll be taking away at the end of the drama, be it positive or negative,” she said about her work ethic.
The actress also opened up about her character in Thora Sa Haq, which she said is very different from Mehwish and one which she enjoyed playing just as much as Mehwish. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for the year ahead!
