Sanam Saeed in an actor who is known for her strong female characters. Drama lovers in Pakistan and India love and applaud the actor for her outstanding portrayal of Kashaf in Zindagi Gulzar Hai, which is a megahit drama. The actor is making a debut on OTT platforms with Zee5’s Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam which is all set to premiere on 10th December, 2021.
At the virtual trailer launch of QHKN, Sanam was asked if she has any plans to work in Indian television or films. The actor, who is loved by Indians and Pakistanis alike, shared that she likes Pakistani dramas over Indian TV anyday.
“I am open to work in Indian films, but not in their television dramas; I prefer TV on this side of the border. There are so many genres of films I want to work in, and so many actors I would like to work with, but to start I would say Aamir Khan,” Sanam said.
Talking about the popularity of Pakistani content on an OTT platform like Zee5 in India, the actor said: “We know how India is as we have watched Indian films for years. But the people in India didn’t know how we (Pakistanis) look or what our lives are like. So, it was eye-opening for them to see that we look the same, eat similar foods, have same kind of hair, talk like each other, perhaps we talk a little better in Urdu. We are practically brothers and sisters.”
“OTT platforms have given us the freedom where bans and politics are all set aside, and we can reach the Indian audience through our shows and the response has been overwhelming,” she added.

Talking about her role in upcoming web series Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam, Sanam shared that her character is very different from her personality in real life.
“I don’t get angry easily in real life, but we have to bring those emotions when I play a character. The beauty of being an actor is being able to express myself through my characters. I am not a femme fatale in my real life, but the role I’m playing (Zuvi) is one,” she said.
“Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam is a show full of courage, sassiness and power. It was a delight to work on this show which tells the stories of strong and fearless women who go to any extent to get what they desire,” she concluded.
Sanam will also be seen in another upcoming project Umro Ayyar.
