The relationship between a director and an actor is one of the most crucial relationships when it comes to drama or filmmaking. Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas Khan who have come together for director Nabeel Qureshi’s film Khel Khel Mein have complete faith in his craft and hold great expectations from the film.

In the latest interview with Hassan Choudary of Something Haute, Sajal and Bilal both shared that they had a great time filming under Nabeel’s guidance. While the lead actors share great chemistry, Sajal pointed out that the most important chemistry that is often overlooked is between the actor and director.

“I am a director’s actor completely,” she said. “Unless I am required to bring something from my end, most of the time, I like to be directed. In Khel Khel Mein I did exactly what Nabeel asked me to do and I hope the audience likes my work.” She added that Nabeel was so good at his job that she didn’t even feel the need to add or change anything.

On the other hand, despite holding great respect and being a fan of Nabeel’s direction, Bilal does not think that he’s a director’s actor. “If a director dictates me too much and I don’t get room to perform, then I cannot do it,” he said explaining that his creativity gets affected. “It does not mean that I get angry or my ego gets hurt. I just cannot act then. I unnecessarily start to fumble so it’s important that I get a little liberty.”

Bilal, however, shared that his role was very easy and simple in Khel Khel Mein.

The film is directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza, under the banner of Filmwala Pictures. The story, screenplay and dialogues are also by this talented duo.

The film stars Sajal Aly, Bilal Abbas Khan, Marina Khan, Manzar Sehbai, Javed Sheikh, Samina Ahmed, Naveed Raza, Reham Rafiq along with several new faces. The music of the film is by Shani Arshad, Shuja Haider, and Asrar Shah.
