Superstar Humayun Saeed is headed out to China to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Film Festival which kicked off on Wednesday night in Qingdao, a city in eastern China’s Shandong province.

The five-day long festival has been organised by State Film Administration and Shandong provincial government to promote cooperation and exchange between SCO member states. Fifty-five movies from SCO countries including five Pakistani films — Jawani Phir Nahi Ani (JPNA), Bin Roye, Parchi, Chalay Thay Saath and Punjab Nahi Jaungi (PNJ) — will be screened at the festival.

Humayun shared a picture on Instagram along with co-star Mehwish Hayat as the two boarded their flight to China.

It is indeed a proud moment for him as he has acted in three movies (JPNA, PNJ and Bin Roye) being screened at the SCO Film Festival while he’s produced two (JPNA and PNJ) of the five Pakistani films that have made it to the festival.

The SCO includes China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India and Pakistan as full members while legendary actor Jackie Chan has been named as the festival’s promotional ambassador.
