‘Shakar Wandaan Re‘ dubsmashes are all the rage these days but we’ve been holding on to this exclusive footage of the Ho Mann Jahan’s leading trio – Mahira Khan, Shehryar Munawwar and Adeel Husain – since summer when we went behind the scenes at Asim Raza’s studio in Karachi and caught the action, live. We were requested not to post this footage until the first look of the song was revealed – which it has been done now – and now we have the director’s blessings to go ahead with giving our readers a little something special.
So, what was it like to be present at the rehearsals? It was like being in the midst of a hustling and bustling bazaar, with extras positioned all over the place, on standby for whenever their call was made. Bottles of coke and Tuc biscuits were the go-to snack and while it was hot, no one seemed to mind the temperature as the camaraderie between the cast and crew made up for any discomfort. In this clip you can see that Mahira, Sherry and Adeel are naturals and the one person on the edge of his toes is Nigah Husain, the choreographer. He certainly has come up with steps that have gone viral!
