Singer-turned-actor Hadiqa Kiani made her acting debut with Raqeeb Se and proved herself to be a multi-talented and intelligent artist. While many actors claim that there isn’t a choice when it comes to scripts, she went on to sign yet another unconventional drama (Dobara) and won the audience.

Dobara has been beautifully directed by Danish Nawaz and Hadiqa who plays the lead character (Mehru), is extremely satisfied with the outcome and happy for the opportunity. The drama is a story about complicated relationships and societal pressure.

She took to Instagram, to pen a heartfelt note of appreciation. “I wanted to take a moment and appreciate the director of Dobara, the incomparable Danish Nawaz,” she shared.

“Aside from being incredibly hardworking, talented, respectful and honest, Danish has a keen eye for detail. He truly understood soul of Dobara and directed it in a manner that highlighted the key nuances of the script and its characters. So grateful to have had the opportunity to work on this project with such a fantastic team,” she continued.

Danish Nawaz was quick to respond the the post.

“Thankyou so much for being a part of this project and adding value to the story of Dobara,”  he replied. “You bring such a positive energy to the set.”  The ace director expressed that he is impressed by Hadiqa’s humble nature. “You are a true gem and rockstar.”

 

 

About acting, Hadiqa believes that she is peeling herself layer by layer with each role.

After Impressing us in her debut drama Raqeeb Se, she continues to rule as an unconventional Mehru in Dobara and will next be seen in Pinjra penned by late writer Asma Nabeel, who lost her life to cancer last year. Directed by Najaf Bilgrami, the drama is being shot these days.
