Celebrating Eid during an ongoing global pandemic is certainly not the same as when it was when life was ‘normal’. However, it is best to stay home and stay safe considering the latest threat; concerns of the 4th wave of coronavirus in Pakistan have grown since the Delta variant is spreading across the country. In fact, Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the public to follow safety precautions calling the Delta variant “the biggest concern”.

While it is important to follow SOPs and avoid the usual celebrations this Eid ul Azha, here is a list of Eid telefilms that guarantee an unlimited choice of entertainment at home.

 

Absolutely Knot

Written by Vasay Chaudhry and directed by Mussadiq Malek, Absolutely Knot is a family comedy. The telefilm features Vasay Chaudhry along with Kubra Khan playing first cousins, engaged to each other. It also stars Hina Bayat, Saba Faisal among several others and will air on ARY Digital.

 

Shaadi  Hai Impossible

Special telefilm Shaadi Hai Impossible stars real-life couple, Aagha Ali and Hina Altaf along with Maria Wasti, Saba Faisal and many others. The comedy revolving along ‘Shaadi’ has been directed by Ifthikar Iffi and penned by Misbah Ali Syed. It  will air on ARY Digital

 

 

Uff Yeh Biwiyaan Reloaded

Real-life couple, Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz are also set to entertain the audience with the sequel of Uff Yeh Biwiyaan which was released earlier on Eid-ul-Fitr. The show again revolves around a marriage theme featuring Shaista Lodhi, Sahiba Rambo and many other talented stars. Directed by Kashif Saleem, the story has been penned by Misbah Ali Syed and will air on ARY Digital.

 

 

Wedding Virus

Wedding Virus is a telefilm that is totally relevant considering the ongoing pandemic and how the public seems to be dealing with it. Many desis claim that coronavirus is a western conspiracy and lockdown weddings with SOPs are unacceptable. Starring Muneeb Butt along with Hiba Bukhari, the telefilm also features Gul e Rana in yet another interesting role! Directed by Furqan T Siddiqui and penned by Saba Hassan, the telefilm will air on ARY Digital.

 

 

Ghan Chakkar

It will be exciting to see Faysal Quraishi and Aijaz Aslam together on screen after a while, considering they share great comic chemistry. Pyar Main Blind

Pyar Main Blind stars a new onscreen pairing,  Shahzad Sheikh with Kinza Hashmi, in roles like never before. It also features Noor ul Hassan along with several others. Directed by Shazia Wajahat and penned by Mohsin Ali, the telefilm will air on ARY Digital.

 

 

Mr and Mrs Chooza

Directed by Fajr Raza and penned by Umer Qazi, Mr and Mrs Chooza features Shehroz Sabzwari and Saboor Aly as the lead couple. Revolving around judgement and teasing based on the size of the sacrificial animal, the telefilm will air on ARY Digital.

Following the success of debut Eid drama Chupke Chupke, Arslan Naseer is will be starring in a telefilm starring Sanam Jung, Bushra Ansari, Atiqa Odho and Behroz Sabzwari. Penned by Saima Akram Chaudhry and directed by Ifthikar Iffi, Hona The Pyar will air on HUM TV.

Akkar Bakkar is a rom-com starring Hina Altaf with Muneeb Butt. The telefilm also stars Sana Askari and Hina Dilpazeer and will air on HUM TV. Penned by Ahsan Raza Firdousi, it is directed by Mazhar Moin.
