The acclaimed DG brand bought Milan Fashion Week’s day five to a close with a show that left minds boggled. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana made a declaration of love to the industry with their autumn/winter 2018 collection entitled ‘Fashion Devotion.’
From drones carrying handbags, to furry heels and graphic sunglasses, the collection was loud and all about making a statement. The collection also featured church-influenced romanticist designs such as a big black cape draped over a white t-shirt and a priest collar combined with an elegant damasked tuxedo. ‘Fashion sinner’ and ‘D&G devotion’ were graphics seen on the t-shirts, claiming the brand to be a religion of its own.
“Fashion is not work, fashion is devotion,†Dolce said. “You live, sleep and eat with fashion, you never stop thinking about it and you love it with all your heart.â€
