After a long wait and controversial cast changes, the first teaser of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Bharat is out.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the teaser seems like a montage of various time periods one might get to see within the film. From the looks of it, Bharat might narrate a story ranging from the time of Partition to the initial rises in the success of India as a country. It also introduces Salman Khan within the different time periods as he is introduced as Bharat who doesn’t have a surname. He goes on explaining that when his father named him after the country, why would he even need a surname to complete himself.
In his looks within these time periods, Salman has donned on five different looks such as a naval officer, a stuntman, another as a man by the Wagah Border, a fire brigade man and, another as a rugged man, which surely leaves us curious.
Is this a Watchman-type situation? Surely looks like it.
Apart from the literal patriotic narrative, Bharat also shows Salman in his usual heroic antics as he rides on his bike like a daredevil in a circus act. However, what’s really missing in the minute and a half teaser are the leading ladies of the film. None of the three leads of the film – Katrina Kaif, Nora Fatehi, and Disha Patani – are seen anywhere.
Bharat is scheduled to release on Eid this year.
