Shehla Chatoor designs are my new guilty pleasure. Having lived so long in Karachi I had never really given her label a second thought for myself (despite it being visibly luxurious I always believed her strength was size zero western wear or bridals only). But fashion week earlier this year changed that. She showed. I previewed. And I couldn’t resist getting my first piece.
This is my second and it’s just as pleasing. The simple button-down shirt has a little embroidery down the neckline but the focal point is the ikat print. The print and the shirt’s back, which is a glorious cowl. Actually the shirt has a lot of design quirks, another being the irregular front/back of the shirt. It may seem like a straight tunic but it is much more. I love it!
