Several films clashing on Eid and various drama serials racing in the same time slot is nothing new or unusual. Keeping up with tradition, Geo Entertainment has decided to begin airing their mega project Alif in the same slot as the hugely popular Mere Pass Tum Ho that’s currently being aired on ARY Digital.
Recently released teasers of Alif have finally confirmed the highly anticipated drama serials release date and time. The Hamza Ali Abbasi and Sajal Aly starrer will begin airing on October 5th — a Saturday — at 8 PM.
Will Alif be able to give tough competition to Mere Pass Tum Ho — which is already 7 episodes in and setting new viewership records? Time will tell, obviously, but it’s worth mentioning that both drama serials are closely connected with Humayun Saeed, who of course isn’t just the main lead but also the producer of Mere Pass Tum Ho (it’s a Six Sigma Plus production), while Alif has been produced by his family members Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz under their own production company Next Level Entertainment.
