A number of Pakistani films due to release in 2020 were postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and cinema closures. Adnan Siddiqui’s first feature film as a producer — Dum Mastam — also met the same fate. It was scheduled for a 2020 release but in a recent post on Instagram, Adnan has confirmed that the movie will be in theaters in 2021.
The shoot of the film has finished and now it is in the post-production phase. Adnan shared a clip of a dubbing video from director Ehteshamuddin’s YouTube channel where viewers can spot veteran actor Sohail Ahmed and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
“We can’t wait to bring to you our much-loved creation — Dum Mastam. The movie has been born out of two years of toiling hard including managing shoots in the old and new normal. It is only a matter of time now. In the meanwhile, sharing a behind the scenes of dubbing. The energy is palpable. Sohail Ahmed sahib, Imran Ashraf, Amar khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan putting their best foot forward,” he wrote.

Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan will make their big screen debut in Dum Mastam. Amar has also written the script of this romantic comedy. The film has been directed by Mohammed Ehteshammuddin, who has previously directed Superstar starring Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf.
