Despite being in the same industry and knowing each other for so many years, Karan Johar and Aamir Khan have never worked together. It appears this might change soon.
If reports are to be believed, Aamir will be seen in a biopic of Osho; a spiritual guru who had a huge impact on Bollywood celebrities such as Mahesh Bhatt and Vinod Khanna. The film will be produced by Karan.
While there has been no official announcement yet, PinkVilla reported that after numerous speculations, the actor has greenlighted the project and is planning to begin the prep for it soon. For now, the perfectionist doesn’t want to compromise on his policy of working on one film at a time.
“Aamir Khan is very excited with the script that has come his way. He gave his nod and is all set to dive into the skin of the character soon. The prep has already begun and one shouldn’t be surprised if we get to see a different Aamir Khan while promoting his much awaited Thugs of Hindostan. However, Khan won’t be signing the dotted line until he is convinced about the look and the other details of his character and the film,” Pinkvilla reported.
The movie is going to be directed by Shakun Batra, who directed the critically and commercially celebrated Kapoor and Sons, and will be jointly produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Aamir Khan’s production house.
