Pakistani-American Shiza Shahid recently collaborated with superstar Selena Gomez for a cookware line. Shiza is the founder of Our Place, an initiative that celebrates the ways in which people from different cultures cook and share meals.

Our Place pursues its mission in various ways. Their Instagram features people and recipes from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Their team works with the Los Angeles Food Policy Council in initiatives that increase access to good, healthy food in South Los Angeles.
Our Place also sells a range of cookware. They collaborated with Selena Gomez to release some of their items, including their flagship Always Pans and Perfect Pots, in two new colors. While Our Place’s original cookware can be found in pretty pastel shades, the Selena Gomez collection is available in a bright blue Azul color and an eye-catching pink Rosa color. 10% of profits made on the collection will be donated to Selena’s mental health initiative, The Rare Impact Fund.

Shiza is also the cofounder of the Malala Fund, which seeks to make education accessible for girls around the world.
