Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has made several announcements after his reappointment with regards to the reforms initiated by the ministry in 2018. Resuming the plans, the minister has emphasized on the revival of films and dramas and announced loans for young and budding filmmakers.
The most recent news that he announced on his Twitter is that PTV is making a TV series on famous poet Mirza Ghalib, and the founder of the Mughal Empire, Babur.

“After PTV News, we are revamping PTV Sports and Entertainment,” Chaudhry wrote, adding that PTV is in the process of making a TV series on Mirza Ghalib and Babur. “PTV will make an elaborate drama series on [Mughal emperor] Babur and [poet] Mirza Ghalib as a collaboration between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Initial preparations of the series have been set in motion.”
Recently, Turkey and Pakistan have announced plans to co-produce a television series on the life of Salahuddin al-Ayyubi, a revered Muslim general popularly known in the West as Saladin.
