Although Pakistani television is bombarded with run-of-the-mill storylines, every now and then there comes a drama that bowled us over and one such new offering is Ishq Zah-e-Naseeb. Starring an ensemble cast which includes Zahid Ahmed, Sami Khan, Sonya Hussyn, Zarnish Khan, Khalid Malik and Yumna Zaidi, the official soundtrack of the drama has been released on Thursday and the scenes have left us in awe.
Written by Hashim Nadeem, Ishq Zah-e-Naseeb’s plot seems to have a lot of twists and turns, the biggest of which is undoubtedly Zahid Ahmed’s half-men and half-women avatar in the drama. As it appears in the OST and the poster, Zahid has tried his hands on a very daring and different character this time and he looks quite convincing.
The characters seem to be entwined in complex relationships. It appears as if everyone is linked to one another and we certainly hope this drama doesn’t suffer from too many plots. We get a glimpse of Sami and Zarnish’s characters who seem to be in love, but in the later half of the track, Sami and Sonya are seen together. As per Sonya’s dialogue, she was married to some guy (probably Sameer played by Zahid Ahmed) to clear her father’s debt. And last but not the least, there is Yumna Zaidi’s character who looks quite dominant and is surrounded by a mysterious aura.
As far as the soundtrack is concerned, singer Naveed Nashad has done justice to the soothing tune. With beautiful lyrics by Hashim Nadeem, this song will definitely make it our playlist.
Directed by Farooq Rind, who has given masterpieces like Besharam and Baaghi, Ishq Zah-e-Naseeb will air after Eid on HUM TV. Watch the official soundtrack of the drama and share your thoughts:
