Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is all set to play Narendra Modi in the upcoming film – PM Narendra Modi – a biopic on the Indian Prime Minister. The film will be directed by Omung Kumar who has directed the National Award winning film Mary Kom, Sarabjit and Bhoomi.

The team has been working on this biopic for the last three years. Earlier it was reported that veteran actor Paresh Rawal was going to play the central lead in this film, however, trade analyst Taran Adarsh in his tweet also confirmed that Vivek’s name has been finalised for the role.

 

 

The film’s unit is gearing up for the film’s first poster launch. The poster will be launched by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on January 7, in 23 languages.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, “The makers had been prepping for all these years and were quite firm about taking all necessary permissions before kicking off the film. As for Vivek Oberoi, the actor has been giving several look tests as he will be seen in varied avatars through the course of the film. He will also be taking workshops before the shoot kicks off.”

Having already helmed two biographies, Omung’s third of the same genre will be on a much larger scale with Vivek Oberoi joining hands with him for the first time. The actor has already shown his ability of getting into the skin of the character in films like Company, Yuvaa and Dum, giving terrific performances in all of them.

If reports are to be believed, the film will portray the story of Narendra Modi from a tea seller to a renowned politician and the Prime Minister of India.
