Adding to the options of global cinema available to Pakistan’s cine-going audience, Egyptian-Iraqi film 122 is all set to release in the country this month.
Scheduled to release in multiplexes nationwide, the horror-thriller directed by Yasir Al-Yasiri, is the first Arab film made in an immersive/sensory 4DX format and stars big names of Arab cinema, such as Ahmed Dawood, Amina Khalil, Ahmad El-Fishawi, and Tarek Lotfy in pivotal roles.
“122 take place on a bloody night in a place where we are supposed to feel safe,” Saif Oraibi, the producer of the film had told The Hollywood Reporter when the film had its Middle-Eastern release in July. “A young man and his beloved are struggling not to reach the hospital, but to run away from it. They are trying to survive the night.”
The Arabic language film will be releasing in Urdu across Pakistan on January 18. Check out the trailer of the film here:
