Amongst the bevy of stars set to take over the Dubai International Cricket Stadium tonight, there are also some grand theatrics in store for the opening ceremony.  The third edition of the tournament kick-starts with a match between Peshawar Zalmis and the Multan Sultans tonight but before the games begin, Samer Ferghali, the Lebanese London-based director of The Musketeers, is all set to make the opening a show to remember.
“You’ll see one of the finest flying systems at the stadium, for the very first time,†Samer told Something Haute, hinting at Ali Zafar’s flying stunt. “If you think that last year’s show was good then this year it’s ten times as big. The sufi scene is going to be magical. You have the National Anthem, followed by the sufi dancers, Shahzad Roy and Ali in the beginning. Even the team entrance is not like any other year!â€
A show of this magnitude has taken three months of on-ground planning plus six months of conceptual visioning to execute. Along with Abida Parveen’s tunes, Ali Zafar is also set to show us some gravity-defying stunts, so stay tuned for updates!
