You know some great fashion is in store for the night when a designer’s sibling is set to tie the knot! Along with friends and family, the creme de la creme of Karachi came out to kick off the wedding celebrations for Nimra and Ayan, brother of designer Wardha Saleem. We spotted fun bursts of colours, lehnga cholis and dainty teekas- to name a few of the hautest trends from the Sangeet last night.
Here’s a closer look at who wore what:
Mehwish Hayat
Dressed to perfection in a heavy Nomi Ansari formal, the colours and embellishments of which are as always impeccable, this superstar lit up her look even more with that beaming smile.
Nausheen Shah
The always on point Nausheen Shah chose a classy Wardha Saleem number, complementing it with Ali Javeri jewels to complete her look. Notice how the outfit and accessories both are just the right amount of fancy and don’t go overboard! Plus special props for that kirran on the dupatta.
Hamza Tarrar
Interior designer Hamza Tarrar of Casa Hamza isn’t one to opt for a plain shalwar kameez! He chose an embroidered cream and gold number, pairing it with a maroon shawl to give his look a pop of colour that the night required.
Tapu Javeri and Nubain Ali
While Tapu opted for his signature black colour, brother of the groom Nubain kept things festive with this bright pink kurta and matching waistcoat. Not every man can pull of this shade of pink, that too with embellished parrots!
Frieha Altaf
Not many would normally wear black to a festive event, but then not everyone is Frieha Altaf! An elegant up-do, big gold earrings and a classy black Sabyasachi number, what more could this look need!
Wardha Saleem and Fouzia Aman
The happy colours in this image are brightening up our day! All these beautiful ladies are wearing Wardha Saleem, and we can’t decide which colour combination looks best.
Azfar Rehman
Both these stars are rocking some fun colours by Nomi Ansari, especially loving the blue tones on Azfar.
Mantahaa and Fouzia
Fitness guru Mantahaa opted for a candy pink and blue number while Fouzia went for an equally colourful look from Wardha Saleem’s much loved Dholak collection.
