Mawra Hocane rose to fame with her Bollywood debut, Sanam Teri Kasam, after which ‘Kheench Meri Photo‘ became an anthem and the actress became a social media sensation. She made a post-Bollywood TV comeback with Sammi, a sensitive and socially responsible vehicle which left us wanting to see more of Mawra. Well news is that Mawra has now signed up for her next project, which sounds quite engaging.
According to sources, Mawra Hocane is gearing up for Aangan a period drama with Momina Duraid Productions and Ehteshamuddin, the mastermind behind the successful Udaari. Sources close to her say she is thrilled to be shooting with Ehtesham.
Without revealing many more details, Mawra has promised us a stellar cast and a terrific script by Mustafa Afridi. Since the play is set in pre-partition times, there’s a lot of preparation involved and we hear that it’s going to be a big budget production. Mawra has been longing to do something which is different from the usual serials and has finally chosen one such project so we are definitely excited!
