Who doesn’t want to look their best at Eid? Be it clothes with the perfect fit, shoes that stand out, jewelry that adds accent, makeup that complements your style and not to forget hair, that will either make or break your look.
Something Haute got in touch with hairstylist Tehmina Ali from Meher Najeeb Salon and asked her take on some amazing updos that are affordable on the pocket and manageable in this weather. Â
Here are 7 style tips that’ll help you rock your Eid with trending updos:
1. Messy bun and red lips
Messy buns can never go out of style and look great on almost every occasion so why not opt for one this Eid? Given the unfriendly weather, tied hair would look best and a style like this would roughly cost PKR 2,000 at a salon which is the nominal range these days. You can further accentuate your style by pairing the look with red lips and a pair of gorgeous kundan and pearl earrings, like these ones by Filigree.
2. French braid all the way!
French braids are evergreen and complement every look, be it traditional or western. Since Eid is all about living up to traditions, we suggest a classic braided look will suit the occasion. You could further elaborate the look by weaving pearls in between the braid or tie up with a striking colored band.
3. Soft hair bun with elaborate, smokey eyes
This look is simple yet elegant. With hair neatly tied in a soft bun, you can do an elaborate eye makeup for the look to stand out paired with any pair of shaded stone earrings. But we’ll suggest you these stunning pair of earrings by Filigree that waver between both traditional and western style.
4. Braided bun
This one is more detailed than the previous and will cost you approximately PKR 3,000 as more prep time is required in this one. You can pair the look with pearl or diamond studs and get hold of this delicate gold bracelet/cuff from Jade Accessories available at Object, Dolmen City.
5. Low flat twisted bun
Given the weather, we recommend another varied style of a low flat twisted bun that will give you a glam look as well as keep your neck cool. You can pair the look with these kundan and pearl balis by Amber Sami that will give you a refined ethnic look. Go for soft pink lips to complete it.
6. Simple tie-up for mid length hair
Mostly people are opting for mid lengths these days and this style is a perfect example of a neat hair look. Tie overlapping thin strands from both sides make it look chic with nothing interrupting the face. You can pair the look with these chunky bracelets from Jade Accessories, available at Object, Dolmen City.
7. Half tie hairstyle with braid
Focusing on mid length, here’s another style, which is chic and trendy with a half tie braid. Paired with the look, you can add on these funky gold earrings by Amna Shariff.
