This is especially true for the entertainment industry because creative people usually have skills that spill over. Actors can sing and singers can act. They’re both performance driven. And performers also branch out to businesses ventures and various other professional adventures.

Here are 5 already famous hidden gems who surprised us with their acting potential…

Atif Aslam

The singer had already made his acting debut with Shoaib Mansoor’s hit film Bol (2011) opposite Mahira Khan. However, it wasn’t until Sang e Mah that the fans and critics recognized him as an actor.

Sang e Mah marks Atif Aslam’s fformal acting debut. Exceeding all expectations, Atif as Hilmand makes his presence felt and proves that he’s a true performer.

 

HSY

Ace designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin aka HSY is known for his command over the world of fashion and glamour, but who knew he could also act? The couture king ventured into acting and won us over in his debut as Akram in Pehli Si Muhabbat. 

The character was polar opposite to HSY’s real personality, yet he gave an extremely convincing performance.  Soon, he will make his big screen debut in Ishrat Made in China.

Hadiqa Kiani

Queen of Pakistani music and now a phenomenal actor, Hadiqa Kiani turns everything she touches to gold. First she stood out with her incredible music and now she has exceeded all our expectations as an actor. She made her debut as Sakina in Raqeeb Se where she shared the screen with TV veterans like Naumaan Ijaz and Sania Saeed. Yet, she managed to make her presence felt which is a huge achievement in itself.

The singer-turned-actor has proved herself to be a multi-talented and intelligent artist. While many actors claim that there isn’t a choice when it comes to scripts, she went on to sign her second unconventional drama (Dobara) that takes us on a journey of a woman who is fighting for her right to live after her husband passes away.

One of the most recent individuals in Pakistan who rose to fame within a few days due to a fun video that went viral on Instagram is the Pawri girl, Dananeer Mobeen. Luck might have gotten her instant fame and a huge break on TV with a mega project like Sinf-e-Aahan, but her talent and dedication has confirmed that she belongs in the mainstream entertainment industry.
