You may know him as Roomi of Meray Paas Tum Ho (MPTH), but Shees Sajjad Gul has established a name for himself with his very first mainstream acting project. Playing the young and adorable kid of Danish and Mehwish (played by Humayun Saeed and Ayeza Khan respectively) in the hit serial, Shees displays a sweet yet smart personality who instantly brings a smile to a viewer’s face. Something Haute recently got in touch with the boy to find out what he thinks of his performance.
Son of acclaimed playwright Saji Gul, Shees didn’t shy away from expressing that he worked in the play because his father told him to. “Meray Paas Tum Ho might be my first and last play. It is hard to work in dramas as the shoots are long and tiring. I can work in a film perhaps because the shoots are short,” he said.
So what he aspires to become, if not an actor?
“A scientist; I like science and I may work in a science show if the shoot starts in winter vacation,” he quickly added.

The boy loves American TV series Stranger Things and the supernatural horror film It, as he spoke at length about the two during the interview. “It would be very hard for me to choose one out of these two if I was ever offered to play a part in it,” he admitted.
Shees also has a YouTube channel where he releases his original videos. You can watch the complete interview here to find out more about his favourite dialogue in the play and much more:
