One of the most recent individuals in Pakistan who rose to fame within a few days due to a fun video that went viral on Instagram is the Pawri girl, Dananeer Mobeen. From a social media influencer to a big break in TV with a mega project like Sinf-e-Aahan, Dananeer’s life has transformed beyond expectations.

Hassan Choudary of Something Haute recently had a conversation with the budding artist to find out more about her story. Here are the excerpts:

Born in Peshawar, Dananeer is a true Pathan who travelled a lot because her father is in the army. And one fine day, she posted a random video with no thoughts whatsoever and became an instant sensation.

“I posted it first on my private account in January and my friends told me to share it on my public account after a month,” Dananeer explained about the Pawri horahi ha video, adding, “it changed my life and added a lot of beautiful things in my life. It gave the direction to my life that I never thought I would take like I worked in Sinf-e-Aahan. Never in my life I’ve imagined that I would do acting. If Allah has written something for you, He will make ways that you reach your destiny,” she shared.

From over 1.5 lac followers on Instagram to 16 lac followers,  Dananeer’s fame game is going strong. And now we have seen her as Syeda Sidra Batool in Sinf-e-Aahan, where she has made a mark only with her first appearance.

“I never thought I would do it but I enjoyed acting thoroughly while I was working. All the credit goes to the people who I have worked with; my director and co-actors. I wanted to do better because I was working with the biggest names from our industry. I was very motivational and everyone was very supportive. I would give a little bit of credit to my mom; she acts like Noor Jehan and I have taken this from her genes,” she said.

“My father got a call from the ISPR as he was approachable because he is in the army. Sana Shahnawaz explained the project to me and then I went to ISPR and then I gave an audition. My parents had a mixed reaction because acting was never an option that they considered as my career. So, they researched about the project and then gave me permission to do this,” Dananeer, lovingly known as Jeena, shared about her big break.
