They hype around Sinf e Aahan is reaching new heights with every teaser as Pakistani drama lovers are jumping with joy and excitement after getting a glimpse of the lives of all female military cadets played by ace performers including Sajal Aly, Yumna Zaidi, Kubra Khan, Ramsha Khan, Syra Yousaf and Sri Lankan actress Yehali Tashiya.

The most recent two teasers introduced us to the characters played by Yumna Zaidi and Kubra Khan. Kubra plays Mahjabeen Mastaan, the only child of an affluent family who is often neglected. Her mother (played by Saba Hamid) and father (played by Usman Peerzada) are always bickering, so much so that she will eventually find solace after leaving her home and joining military academy.

It appears that no one believes in her ambitions as she has lived all her life in the lap of luxury. However, the character played by Ali Rehman Khan seems to have an interest in her. The teaser shows Mahjabeen’s transformation from a privileged girl to a responsible cadet who fights against all odds to achieve her goals, making her parents trust her capabilities.

Another teaser introduced us to Yumna Zaidi, who plays Shaista Khanzada, a girl from a Pashtun family who is not allowed to go and work outside, let alone join the armed forces. However, she is passionate and believes that gender has got nothing to do with your profession. She is determined to achieve success as she promised her family that she will only increase the honour of the family with her actions. It appears that model Merub Ali will be seen as Shaista’s sister in the drama. Zeb Bangash’s melodious voice in the background score adds value to the emotional teaser.

Looking forward to three more teasers that will introduce Syra Yousaf, Ramsha Khan and Yehali Tashiya. The drama serial is expected to tap into the transformation of women — who are usually referred to as Sinf-e-Naazuk [the delicate class] — to Sinf-e-Aahan [the iron-willed class] i.e. women of steel. The highly anticipated project is produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz of Next Level Entertainment alongside Humayun Saeed and Shahzad Nasib of  Six Sigma Plus and in association with ISPR. Directed by Nadeem Baig, Sinf-e-Aahan is written by renowned playwright Umera Ahmed and will air soon on ARY Digital.
