My A/W2012 wardrobe
I think this has to be one of favourite styles, which is neither too long nor too short and made in a light weight crepe silk, is perfect for breezy autumn evenings in Karachi. The figurines on Sania’s print, which the designer refers to as dolls, remind me of Sikh pilgrims (don’t ask why) and that makes them even more relevant to the theme of the collection. And the shirt, like many of SM’s designs has different prints on the front and back. It’s a little bit of design innovation that takes it beyond ordinary; I personally like the fading hemline which gives the print an additional depth.
Now that Fashion Week fashion has gone into production (for most designers), Muharram is over and winter holidays are fast approaching, my winter wardrobe has also gone into full drive so look out for much more…
