With recent reports revealing that former television host and religious scholar Aamir Liaquat has joined Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf, longtime supporter and alleged party member Salman Ahmad has spoken up against the controversial union.

Taking to Twitter, the former Junoon band member expressed his distrust for Aamir Liaquat and likened him to a ‘reptile.’

“After 35 years of defending, supporting & justifying @ImranKhanPTI to the world, I no longer can. I fear that reptiles surround him,” the musician wrote.

Although it is still unclear whether Salman has officially parted ways with the politician, the musician has remained staunch about personalities such as Aamir Liaquat joining the party. Previously, he has also used terms as such as ‘hypocrite’ against the former.

Salman shares a long history with the former cricket captain of Pakistan and has been a supporter of PTI from the humble beginnings of the political party. The musician was also often seen at rallies singing patriotic songs.
