After the Coke Studio rendition of ‘Ko Ko Korina‘ became fodder for trolls on social media, actor Ahad Raza Mir and singer Momina Mustehsan have faced a major backlash. However, it seems that despite constant critique, there’s one person supporting the song wholeheartedly – and that’s Sajal Aly.
Coming to the rescue of her close friend, Sajal took to Instagram to question the immeasurable and frankly, uncalled for hate.
“Itni nafrat lay kar kahan jaogay? Qabar mai? #Stopthehate,” she initially wrote.
Soon after, the actress posted a longer rant about the backlash and said that there are far more important issues to debate.

“3 days and counting and it’s all about Ko Ko Korina! Love it or hate it, your call but you don’t have to go town insulting someone’s effort,” she wrote. “It’s only a song – sing along or change the channel. We as a country have far more important issues to debate. #stopthehate.”
Sajal’s post is the latest in a list of people speaking up against the backlash the song has received. Recently, Momina Mustehsan too defended the song when Minister of Human Rights, Shireen Mazari called the song ‘horrendous.’
