Saima Akram Chaudhry’s next Ramazan play is a light mood filmi drama

After the success of Suno Chanda series, Chupke Chupke and Ishq Jalebi, it wouldn’t be wrong to award playwright Saima Akram Chaudhry the title of Queen of Ramazan Dramas.

Taking to Instagram, the writer recently announced her upcoming Ramazan play for the year 2022. The drama will air on Geo Entertainment and is going to be directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain.

Everyone loves the light-hearted comedy dramas penned by the writer. To find out more about the upcoming project, we reached out to Saima who without going into the details revealed that it is going to be a “light mood filmi drama”.

“It has an amazing cast. The viewers are going to enjoy it like my previous serials,” she told Something Haute adding that they will start shooting soon. “We’re going to start shooting from the 15th.”

Other than this, she shared that viewers are in for a treat. “Two more light mood serials are going to be airing on television soon. Kala Doriya’s cast has been finalized and includes Sana Javed and Farhan Saeed.”

“Kala Doriya is going to be directed by Amin Iqbal and we will begin shooting in January. Hum Tum, on the other hand, will begin shooting this month,” she further shared.

Saima revealed that both her plays are romantic comedies and will go on air next year.
