With the advent of appealing cosmetic techniques in the last few decades, there’s no doubt that going under the knife is not a big deal for many in the quest for vanity. As 2017 came to an end, the Haute team spoke to some of Pakistan’s most popular specialists in cosmetic procedures to find out which of their services have been the highest in demand last year.
Tahir Shafi
Plastic surgeon Tahir Shafi, who performs reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, has been most sought after for his rhinoplasty (nose job), liposuction and tummy tuck. The facelift has also become a commonly requested procedure. Nine out of ten of Dr Tahir Shafi’s patients are women.
According to him, the top five procedures performed in his clinic are :
- Rhinoplasty (commonly known as a nose job)
- Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck)
- Liposuction
- Facelift
- Blepharoplasty (eyelid bag removal)
Afzal Lodhi
Dermatologist and skin specialist Dr. Afzal Lodhi performs mostly non-surgical cosmetic procedures. His most popular service is laser hair removal.
According to Dr. Lodhi, the most popular cosmetic procedures were the following:
- Laser hair removal
- Microdermabrasion
- Skin peeling
- Botox
- Fillers
Najia Ashraf
Considered some of the quickest improvements to sagging skin and unwanted hair, botox and laser hair removal are popular with Dermatologist Dr. Najia Ashraf.
According to her, the top five cosmetic procedures done by her were:
- Skin disease management: Acne, psoriasis, rosacea, and vitiligo
- Laser hair removal
- Hair loss and restoration
- Chemical peels
- Laser resurfacing and skin rejuvenation
