With Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli returning to India after their destination wedding, the festivities back home have just started. Commencing with a reception in New Delhi, the guest list included everyone from Virat’s family and friends to cricketers and politicians.

The glamourous night was a classy affair with a touch of desi dance and tradition as the power couple enjoyed with their loved ones. Adorned with Sabyasachi classics, which focused more on preserving the traditional hues of red and gold, Anushka and Virat were, of course, the center of all media attention.

Although low on Bollywood power – which one will get to see at the Mumbai reception a few days later – the night remained rememberable. What went on at the reception? We have all the information for you!

The night started off with the couple posing for the media eye.

According to Sabyasachi Mukherjee – the designer behind all of their looks throughout the wedding – he thinks that ‘Indian brides don’t feel complete without wearing the colour red in one of their functions.’

The event also had some powerful names attached to it, and for once it isn’t Bollywood!

However, what shined even more than the couple’s photo-op with Narendra Modi, had to be the amount of dancing the couple did with the guests!

Anushka and Virat let loose and surely, it’s a sight for sore eyes!

Now, this is the kind of desi touch you won’t find in Italy!

What’s a Punjabi wedding without Punjab’s very own Gurdas Maan gracing the couple?

In the end, it was a night which could probably only be overshadowed by the Mumbai reception that’s next!
