Actor and writer Mindy Kaling recently discussed in an interview with MTV News how she is in talks with Marvel Studios to develop a movie on the Pakistani-American comic book character, Ms Marvel, and that she would be happy to assist them on this project.
Mindy spoke of her love for the character and signaled that she would choose a relatively unknown actress to play the heroine. “I told them I would help in any way because I truly love her,” she said adding, “They really seemed interested, and I think they will probably do something. Now that there’s this streaming platform with them, it might be something like that, but I think they understand how much excitement there is.”
Mindy took to twitter to clarify that she had “no information†about the adaptation, but has high hopes for it nonetheless.
Hi everyone, I love Ms. Marvel (aka Kamala Khan) and the geniuses behind her @GWillowWilson @MiniB622 @Marvel, but I have no information about any tv or film adaptation! Wish I did though, when that hits the screen it’s gonna be huge?

The comics portray Ms Marvel, whose real name is Kamala Khan, as a teenage Pakistani-American from New Jersey who has shape-shifting abilities. Her character was created by G Willow Wilson, artiste Adrian Alphona, and editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker in 2014.
