Kubra Khan, the JPNA 2 actress who found widespread success in the industry pretty quickly, has touched upon her journey in the entertainment world and how she thinks she might end it soon to move on somewhere else.
The Parwaaz Hai Junoon star sat down with BBC’s Haroon Rashid, talking at length about her spiritual growth over the past year, and how she feels about her latest drama serial Alif in which she plays the character of Husn-e-Jahan alongside Ahsan Khan, Sajal Aly and Hamza Ali Abbasi. “Alif was Godsend. It came to me at a point when I was not in the best place, because obviously you’re shutting yourself off from everybody. I was like, ‘ do I even want to be a part of this industry?’, said Kubra about the serial.
She then went on to talk about how she has thought about ending it all, how she isn’t in the business for the long run and making enough money to move on has been her mantra. “The thing is I love the art itself. It’s just what it brings. I mean I still wear sleeveless tops, listen to music and dance. As long as your intention is right. I genuinely feel like if I can make a balance out of this, sure, but if not, maybe I will end it and move on somewhere else,” she shared.
The starlet also talked at length about how she feels all the love and accolades she may collect in this world won’t matter in front of the Lord, so she isn’t too bothered about all that and does not think much about these things now. “Let’s face it, I could have 50 awards today, I could be the next big thing, but if I am not a good human being, what does it all stand for?” said Kubra.
It’s interesting to see how more and more celebrities are finding their spiritual side and are intent one exploring it more with time. Kubra is the latest one to be considering the part, while Hamza Ali Abbasi recently announced taking a break from the industry. You can watch the interview here:
