Haute Trail: 5 times Ushna Shah turned style savant

We absolutely love it when our stars find their personal style and ace it. Ushna Shah is one such actor who has not only aced her performance on screen but has us waving in delight at her personal style too. She’s a gym junkie, so you’ll often see her in gym wear, and thanks to her time spent in the gym, she’s got the abs that she likes to flaunt.

 

Here are 5 of our favourite Ushna Shah looks…

 

1. The vintage va va voom sari

 

Ushna recently wore this lovely monochrome, graphic printed sari to her session at the Karachi Literature Festival. She put up pictures of herself with Parizad co-star Ahmad Ali Akbar and won everyone’s approval. She did look lovely, because of a natural air of grace she carried. The blouse was a simple black piece. Her hair and makeup was gentle and informal, perfect for an afternoon by the sea.

 

Interestingly, she shared a story of herself with sister Irsa Ghazal, wearing the same sari. It was a picture from Ushna’s childhood and she shared it with a very cute caption.

 

 

 

2. Arriving with Élan

 

She was one of the stand out stars at the PISA’21 event in Dubai. Though not nominated this particular year, Ushna won unanimous approval for her red carpet look, which was a grand black gown customized for her by Élan. Cinched at the waist by a dramatic embellished belt, the dress was a halter neck style that flattered the young actor’s personal.

 

Her hair and makeup was minimal and elegant and she kept things fuss free by accessorizing the outfit with understated diamond earrings.

 

3. Why not, meri jaan?

 

This random image is one of our favourites of Ushna, simply because it’s a nonchalant gorgeous look. It’s not easy to wear all white (unless you’ve aced it like J Lo, Beyonce or even Jeetinder) but Ushna here attains perfect ease in the well-fitted denim pants, knitted halter top and these lovely, bouncy heels.

It’s an image that says ‘I’m not body-conscious’ and we love it!

 

4. The half sari

 

 

Evidently for a shoot, Ushna Shah waves a flag for Wardha Saleem designs in this block-printed half-sari, which is a hybrid look often seen on red carpets. Here we see the star stepping out of her usual minimal look to stride in a bit of style drama. She’s got the look down to a T, from the shoes to the hair and the only thing we have changed, perhaps, in the lip colour.

 

5. Traditional stride

We saw Ushna in this near-perfect look in recently concluded drama serial Akhir Kab Tak. She wore this look, designed by Asim Jofa, to her onscreen sister Fajar’s wedding and we loved everything about it.

 

 

Everything from her hair, to the flower in her hair, her hair and makeup to that ivory white embellished lehnga kurta was lovely to watch on screen and spoke volumes on Ushna’s personal taste. It also went to prove that she’s not just about westernised style but can wear traditional just as effectively and elegantly.
