While most stars and celebrities fail to take criticism, there are some like director-cum-actor Danish Nawaz who appreciate the reviews and feedback that they receive for the work they produce.

As an actor, he has made us laugh. As a director, he has managed to impress us even more with the depth of his craft. He is a multitalented personality and an asset to the industry. It’s not a critics’ job to fluff a celebrity’s ego carelessly, but in his case, it is what it is.

“Reviews are extremely important. In fact, they help us identify the flaws that we wouldn’t otherwise,” said Danish, the director of super hit drama Kashf in an exclusive interview with  Something Haute. “I’ve learned a lot through genuine reviews,” he stressed regarding the importance of taking constructive criticism positively.

“We are self-taught directors,” he confessed adding that drama reviews play a vital role in their professional growth. He is an engineer turned actor turned director. “It all just happened and nothing was planned,” he revealed.

“Comedy has always been a holiday for me but I had always wanted to produce serious content revolving around issues that I felt strongly about,” Danish explained the contrast in his work and how he has evolved professionally.
