We’ve got Cake on our mind, for quite some time!
The official trailer came out earlier last month, giving us a taste of Cake The Film, starring Aamina Sheikh, Sanam Saeed and Adnan Malik in lead roles. The story revolves around a seemingly dysfunctional family and is layered with elements that will appeal to the audience. A hint of the background score, for example, has us impatiently waiting for more.

The OST ‘Meri Duniya‘ by The Sketches is out and we must say, it’s a catchy, contemporary tune with lyrics that are soft and soothing. The instrumentals are soulful and guaranteed to touch hearts. The Sketches come from Jamshoro, Sindh and since parts of the movie have also been shot in interior Sindh, there is a definite connection between the audio and the visual. ‘Meri Duniya‘ is purely Pakistani and it’s beauty lies in the fact that it sounds nothing like commercial Bollywood that most filmmakers are looking to emulate these days. You can listen to the complete song on Patari.
Saif Samejo, founder of The Sketches, posted on his Instagram account: “Hope musically it will create some space in your hearts too.” Well, as far as the OST is concerned, it’s safe to say that the film looks like an audio-visual treat and the song has unquestionably touched our hearts.
