The first thing you think of when you feel the summer heat hitting your face while going to work in the morning, is the lawn collection that’s going to be good enough to make you look insanely stylish while keeping you cool. However, wearing three-piece coordinated lawn suits is a little boring and it feels kind of redundant with the same patterns and the same prints and embroidery, but Barae Khanom just launched a lawn collection called ‘Rubaiyat‘ that really piqued our interest.
In the words of their creative director Alishia Khattak, their goal was to “introduce lawn with such designs that would enhance your accessories so the uniqueness of Rubaiyat would bring out the grace and poise of today’s independent Khanom.â€
The designs are inspired by Persian symbolism and have a minimalist approach to the clothes, which is exactly what one wants in the summer. The addition of the hand crafted ribbon work and the pastel colour palette brings out the collection even more.
Using a blend of tradition and modern design, here are our top five picks for Barae Khanom’s lawn collection.
1. This gorgeous mix of mustard yellow with a tone of dark and light blue and some tribal print on it really caught our eye.
2. Pink, white and navy blue is a classic combination and the yellow accent in places just lifts the whole look. This would work great at a work lunch.
3. Pastel shades of green remain a timeless look for the summer. We especially love the net dupatta with the heavy embroidery that gives the whole look a richer feel.
4. Deep blue and white always look good together, but the addition of the florals and ribbon embroidery in the front really pick this outfit up. This would be perfect of a dinner date.
