Omair Rana shared the teaser of the drama on his Instagram with the caption, “nothing is greater than the responsibility of raising a child. Here we go. Bismillah. The next one to hit the air soon.”

Pinjra is directed by Najaf Bilgrami and is penned by the late screenwriter Asma Nabeel. Asma Nabeel was a renowned poet and a scriptwriter who lost her battle with cancer in 2021. She has written Khuda Mera Bhi Hai and Khaani. Needless, to say we are excited to see how the writer’s story unravels in the upcoming drama.
Producer, Shazia Wajahat also penned down an emotional message on Instagram, “This has been made with a lot of love and hardwork. Everyone involved from the cast and the entire team gave their heart and soul to this serial.
The message in the play is a strong one and we hope that we are able to convey it across in a positive way. Hope we make you proud and smile up there Asma❤️ as I remember how passionate you were about this and kept writing till the end. Miss you.”

Pinjra’s 30-second teaser is hard-hitting and captures the audience instantly. With Hadiqa Kiani’s voiceover in the background, a well-edited teaser definitely adds intrigue. The teaser begins with Hadiqa saying, “kehte hain aap kay sab bachay barabar hote hain likin jitna bhi chaho kasr reh hi jati hai. [They say all your children are equal, but no matter how much you try some gap is still left]. The dialogue leaves a strong impact and sets the premise and tone of the drama.
Pinjra, on the surface, seems like a story of a family of five and how they navigate through everyday crises whilst trying to find their way back to each other. It seems like a strong story with deep-rooted messages highlighting the ordeal of parents who strive hard to give the best life to their children; however, fate always is not so kind.
The fast-paced trailer portrays a family having a good time together but as it progresses things take a turn as it seems that the children are likely to find themselves in strenuous situations and have to fight the obstacles that life throws at them. The parents, played by Hadiqa Kiani and Omair Rana, will probably try to strive hard to aid their children to find a direction whilst trying to conserve their sanity.
