With a successful series of hits to his credit, from Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par to PK Dangal and now Thugs of Hindostan, superstar Aamir Khan’s name is synonymous with bankable yet edgy narratives. However, now the actor has cleared he has stopped charging for his films.

On Aamir Ki Paathshala on the digital platform Tata Sky Acting Adda, Aamir spoke at length about his responsibility as a film producer.

“I don’t charge a single rupee for my films. It is my responsibility to take care that the cost is recovered and the whole crew has been paid. And when this is done, I get my share in profit. This gives me a sense of responsibility, of which you all can see the results,” the Thugs of Hindostan star said.

Known to be a ‘perfectionist’, Aamir Khan is not just a dependable producer but also a steady performer as his choice of films never disappoints his fans. He believes that his strength lies in not fearing the inevitable i.e. failure.

“I don’t feel fear of failing, I fear not trying. As a producer or a director, when a story grips the audience, that’s when I feel, I have achieved something out of my art,” he said.

The actor will soon be seen in Yash Raj’s mega project Thugs Of Hindostan, in which Aamir will be acting opposite Amitabh Bachchan for the first time. Other than the two lead superstars, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh will be joining them in the high-octane action drama.
