Just when you thought Karan Johar’s Pakistan obsession may have died down, there’s exciting news in the offing with his upcoming film, Kalank.
According to Times of India, the director is all set to start working on his upcoming film, which may not have Pakistani actors in it but has a story set in Pakistan in the 40’s.
Starring Madhuri Dixit – who replaced Sridevi, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sonakshi Sinha, the film is reportedly an epic emotional historical drama set in the 1940s and may hit at yet another partition story.
According to the Indian newspaper, Karan’s father Yash Johar had reportedly been hands-on with the research on the project and was rumoured to have even traveled to Lahore to get inspired for the film.
Karan since then, has also announced Kalank on his Twitter page.
