With the Padmavati controversy not dying anytime soon, actor Ranveer Singh has already moved onto his next project. Prepping for his lead role in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy alongside Alia Bhatt, the actor already has some great tasks at hand to complete.
Taking to social media, the Yash Raj Films team put up a video on Twitter, where he is preparing to play a street rapper in the upcoming film. In the video –which has been shared sans audio, he can be seen rapping and taking lessons for the same to fit perfectly into his role.
According to Indian publications, the actor is already ready to start this project and wants to perfect his craft before-hand.

“Ranveer is keen to move on. He has already committed dates to Zoya for the film, and hence can’t let everything wait,†the source revealed. “He has already been told to not do media interviews for Padmavati before the release. And after the indefinite postponement of the movie, he cannot let other films, including Gully Boy, suffer because he’s a thorough professional.â€
Gully Boy is inspired by the lives of two rappers, Vivian Fernandez aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy and revolves around the ‘real life in Mumbai’.
