It has been proven time and again by different platforms that musical collaborations are the name of the game in today’s day and age. Zeb Bangash is one singer who rose to fame with one such fusion track Paimona which she performed on Coke Studio. With many hit drama OSTs, singles and movie songs to her credit, the singer was recently seen with Chinese composer and 2019 Grammy Awards nominee, Du Yun.

Du Yun has been nominated in the Contemporary Classical Composition category this year. She also won the Pulitzer Prize for Music in 2017. Zeb and Yun are collaborating on McArthur Genius Award winner Shahzia Sikandar’s latest visual piece.

Yun took to Instagram and shared her feelings about her working experience with Zeb.

“Shahzia Sikander @shahzia.sikander and I had a wonderful week working with the fantastic Pakistani singer Zeb Bangash @zebbangash and the tabla player Iftikhar Joseph in Lahore. We explored Zeb’s cultural history through music too. Working on something new! Stay tuned,” she wrote.

That’s not all, one look at Du Yun’s Instagram shows that she has recently worked with Ali Sethi as well. The musician shared a picture of Ali performing at the world premiere of Where We Lost Our Shadows.

“I didn’t believe it until it happened! Thank you @southbankcentre and @auroraorchestra for having us yesterday. So thrilled to be a part of this powerful piece from visionaries @duyun and @khaledjarrar and to perform alongside tremendous talents,” Ali Sethi posted on his Instagram.
