Bollywood celebrities turning to small screen is quite a common practice these days. Whether it’s hosting or judging a reality show, even the biggest movie stars don’t shy away from appearing on TV.

In a recent interview with Indian publication DNA, Kareena Kapoor too expressed her interest in working on television. “I’ve got several offers for small screen but it has never worked out because of some issue or the other. I’m not averse to taking up something on the small screen, but it can’t be a daily soap for sure.”

Kareena was also asked if she would follow in the footsteps of her husband Saif Ali Khan who made his Netflix debut with web series Sacred Games, to which she replied, “I’m open to any kind of medium. But again, it has to be something really different and special for me to say yes to it. Saif has done an incredible job in Sacred Games. If I get something out of the box and extraordinary, then why not? It’s all about a good, tight script and some shows on the digital space have outstanding writing.”

The Ki & Ka star asserted that she is at that stage of her career where she is no longer required to prove that she is good actor.

“I’m a practical person who knows exactly what she should be doing. I don’t think I need to prove myself as an actress. Thankfully, now people know how I am as a performer. Today, when I read a script, I see if there’s something special for me to do. I only want to play great characters.”

Kareena’s last release was Veere Di Wedding that was quite successful at the box office.
