With so many things in style these days, it’s a gargantuan task to keep it simple and not incorporate every trend in one dress. The mantra is to always pick and choose from what looks good on you, and then make a statement as you wear your piece with confidence. Thus, as the post-FPW fever dies down, we thought we’d quickly enlighten our readers with one more important trend from the show;  the ever-green tunics.

Layers

Layers have been big since a while, from casual to formal wear it adds more elements to your look, and gives you more to play around with. A simple top and jeans can look über cool when you wear a floor sweeping number like what Maheen Khan showcased. While a heavily worked coat over a saari looks sleeker than we thought it would, it definitely isn’t something everyone will be able to carry!

Ruffles

Sadaf Malaterre’s collection was heavy on ruffles and it added such a fun look to each piece. This will be slightly tricky to ace, since the placement of the ruffles on your tunic has to be according to your body type, but once you get that right you’ve got the perfect look ready!

Asymmetric cuts

We saw asymmetric cuts in almost every collection at Fashion Pakistan Week! It’s something that you can try in formal as well as contemporary outfits. It adds an oomph, looks funky, and you can also play with the length of your hems depending on what type of look you’re aiming for.
