Last we heard about the sequel of 1994 classic comedy flick Andaz Apna Apna, rumours were rife that Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan were being cast as the lead duo. However, the writer of the original film, Dilip Shukla cleared the air that the sequel cannot be complete without Salman and Aamir Khan.

In an Interview with Indian publication Deccan Chronicle, Dilip Shukla has confirmed that Preeti Sinha, daughter of producer Vinay Sinha, has asked him to start writing the film.

“I am writing the sequel. It is not easy to pen a sequel. I have to bring something more attractive in comparison to the earlier one,” Dilip said.
